A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit between Defendant Sequencing, Inc. ("Sequencing" or "Defendant") and certain users of Sequencing.com who allegedly had their genetic information shared with a third party. The lawsuit claims that Sequencing violated an Illinois law called the Genetic Information Privacy Act ("GIPA") by sharing its users' genetic information with third parties without complying with the law's requirements, including by allegedly failing to obtain written authorization from its users to share their genetic information. Sequencing denies any wrongdoing or that it violated any laws. The Settlement does not establish who is right or wrong, nor has the Court decided that.

If you're included and the Settlement is approved, a check for approximately $301.25 will automatically be sent to you. This is an equal share of the $356,500.00 Settlement Fund, after the payment of settlement expenses, attorneys' fees, and any incentive award. If you do nothing, a check will be mailed to you at your last known address. You can request to update your address or choose to receive your payments through Venmo or Zelle by clicking here.

Please read the Notice and FAQs carefully. Your legal rights are affected whether you act, or don't act.
